Les Liaisons Dangereuses was produced by the Denison University Department of Theatre and directed by Jon Farris. It was the third time that I worked as designer in a show that Jon directed. The production was conceived as a confluence of sensuality and deception played in the covert world of the aristocracy. The space was white with a few pastel accents and a subtly tinted floor pattern. All-white bas-relief wall panels depicted naked male and female bodies. The scene changes were accomplished with modular furniture units and screens. Scene shifts were choreographed jointly by the director and myself. All color in the design came from lighting and the costumes.
